For Business Owners

For business owners and incorporated professionals

Your business is likely your largest asset, and also the income, identity, and security for your family and your team. Planning for what is next, for the business and for you personally, works best when the corporate and personal sides are considered together.

Most financial questions do not sit in one neat box. An owner may be thinking about the company, the team who helped build it, and the family waiting at home, in the same decision. Wealth Champions was built for that overlap: education first, so you understand how the pieces fit together before you choose a path.

Where are you in the life of your business?

Stage One

Growing

Your focus is building: revenue, your team, and the value of what you own. This is where corporate planning starts, including how you pay yourself, how money moves between the business and your family, and how corporate and personal investing fit together.

Compare salary and dividends

Stage Two

Preparing to Exit

Whether the next chapter is a family transition, a sale to a third party, or a gradual step back, the planning is clearest when it starts early. Succession, the taxes on the way out, and what the proceeds will need to do for your family all belong in one conversation.

See how the planning services fit

Stage Three

After the Sale

The business is sold, or the work has wound down, and the question changes: how does what you built turn into income and security for the rest of your life? Retirement income, estate planning, and protecting your family deserve the same care as the building years.

Topics we explore together, education first

Corporate planning

Learn how business owners in Canada think about holding and investing inside a corporation, drawing income, and coordinating corporate assets with personal plans for retirement and family security. The focus is on understanding your options and the questions to work through with your accountant and lawyer.

Succession

Whether the next chapter is a family transition, a sale to a third party, or a gradual step back, succession raises financial, tax, and human questions. Learn the common paths owners consider, how life insurance is sometimes used to fund transitions and balance interests among family members, and how to start the conversation early enough to keep choices open.

Group benefits

Your people take care of your business, and a thoughtful benefits plan is one way to take care of them. Learn what group benefits can include, how plans are structured for small and growing teams in Ontario, and what to consider on cost, coverage, and retention, so you can compare options with clear eyes.

You built something that matters. Planning for its next chapter, and yours, deserves the same care you put into building it.

For Families

For families building wealth

You do not have to think of yourself as wealthy to belong here. If you are married or partnered, own your home, are raising kids, and are building wealth step by step, you are exactly who the name Wealth Champions speaks to: champions at building, protecting, and passing on what you are creating.

Together we build a clear picture of the full practice, in plain language: protection for the people who count on you, investments across registered and non-registered accounts, Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs) for the kids, Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs), Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs), First Home Savings Accounts (FHSAs) where they fit, and the estate basics that keep a growing plan organized. Education first, so every decision is one you understand.

Building wealth is a long game, played one good decision at a time. You deserve guidance that respects where you are and where you are headed.

A Wealth Champions Spearhead

Disability informed estate planning

One area where Wealth Champions goes deeper than most practices: families whose estate planning includes a loved one with a disability. It takes planning that understands both the financial tools and the benefits and supports your loved one may rely on, and Sean brings trusted, disability informed expertise from his flagship practice to this work.

Topics we explore together, education first

Henson trusts

Learn what a Henson trust is, how it is commonly used in Ontario estate planning for a beneficiary with a disability, and why the wording and choice of trustee matter. We talk through questions to bring to your lawyer, so your legal documents and your financial plan tell the same story.

Estate equalization

When one child may need lifelong support and others do not, equal does not always mean fair, and fair does not always mean equal shares. Learn approaches families consider to balance inheritances, support lifetime needs, and keep family relationships strong, and how life insurance is sometimes used as one tool in that balancing conversation.

RDSP strategy

The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is one piece of a larger puzzle. Learn how the RDSP fits alongside trusts, your own retirement plans, and your estate, including contribution timing, government grants and bonds in general terms, and coordination across generations such as contributions from parents and grandparents. Education here focuses on how the RDSP works at a family level, not on a one size recommendation.

Every family story is different. The goal is the same: confidence that your loved one will be supported, respected, and included in the plan, long after you are gone.

How We Are Built

How we are built

Independent, on purpose

Wealth Champions is an independent practice. It is not a bank, and it is not tied to one company or one shelf of products. The conversation starts with your situation, and the education comes before any product is ever discussed.

How the practice earns

Education and planning are the work here. When clients choose to put a plan in place, the practice is compensated through the financial products they select. That is how the first conversation can stay free, with no invoice and no obligation, and why there is never pressure to proceed.

One person, for the long term

You work with a named person, Sean Leduc, not a call centre or a rotating desk. Families plan across decades, and this practice is built to be there for the long term: the person who helps you build the plan is the person in your corner as life changes.

The Process

How it works

  1. Book a free conversation

Choose a time that suits you through the booking link or call 613-983-3029. The first meeting is 30 minutes, by phone or video.

  2. Tell your story, in your words

We talk about your family, your business if you have one, what you have in place, and what is on your mind. You will not be asked for banking details, health records, or sensitive personal identification in this first conversation.

  3. Learn, in plain language

Sean walks through the concepts that apply to your situation, the trade offs to consider, and the questions to take to your lawyer or accountant where needed. You get time to think. There is no requirement to decide anything in the meeting.

  4. Decide your next steps together

If it makes sense to continue, you agree on clear next steps together. If another professional or resource is the better fit for a question, Sean will say so plainly.

  5. Review as life changes

Families grow, businesses evolve, and laws and benefits change. Ongoing reviews help keep your plan aligned with the people and goals it is meant to protect.

Ready when you are. Book your free conversation

Questions

Common questions

Is the first conversation really free, and is there any obligation?

Yes, the first conversation is free, and there is no obligation to continue. Its purpose is education and getting to know each other. You decide if and how you would like to proceed after that conversation.

Who is Wealth Champions for?

Wealth Champions is for Canadians in Ontario who want education first planning with extra depth. It leads with business owners and incorporated professionals working through corporate planning, succession, and group benefits, and with families building wealth: married, homeowners, raising kids, and growing what they have built. It also goes deeper for families whose estate planning includes a disabled family member, including Henson trusts, estate equalization, and RDSP strategy. If your situation is simpler, the flagship practice at seanleduc.ca may be the better starting point, and Sean will guide you to the right place.

Do you give financial advice on this website or in the first call?

No. This website is educational only and is not financial advice. The first conversation is educational and exploratory as well. Any personal recommendation would only be considered later, within a proper client relationship, after your full situation is understood.

I have a lawyer and an accountant already. How does this fit?

Very well. This practice does not replace your lawyer or accountant. Sean helps you understand the financial planning pieces, including RDSP, insurance, and investment concepts in general terms, so your conversations with your legal and tax professionals are more focused and productive. With your permission, planning can be coordinated across your team.

Where are you located, and how do meetings work?

Sean is based in Carleton Place, Ontario, and the practice is home based with no physical office to visit. Meetings are held by phone or video with clients across Ontario, at times booked through the booking link or arranged by phone at 613-983-3029.
